This prestigious recognition honors Tad’s decades of leadership, mentorship, and innovation in professional tree care. Through his work at Treemasters and his contributions to the national tree care community, Tad has exemplified the highest ideals of integrity, safety, and professionalism.
From founding Treemasters in 1987 on the principles of honesty, integrity, and craftsmanship, to serving as a TCIA Board Member and Peer-to-Peer mentor, Tad has dedicated his career to advancing excellence in the arboriculture industry.
The TCIA Award of Merit is the most distinguished honor awarded by the Tree Care Industry Association. It recognizes individuals and companies whose commitment to education, safety, and innovation has made a lasting positive impact on the tree care profession.
Unlike other awards, the Award of Merit may be presented to any individual or organization, regardless of membership in the association, whose legacy has positively influenced the practice of arboriculture.
For Tad and the Treemasters team, this recognition affirms our enduring commitment to advancing safe, sustainable, and client-focused tree care across California and beyond.
This award honors extraordinary leadership, mentorship, and collaboration; qualities Tad has demonstrated throughout his career. The Tree Care Industry Association commended Tad for his integrity, humility, and willingness to share his expertise, which has inspired countless arborists across North America.
Through his service on the TCIA Board of Directors, his involvement in Peer-to-Peer leadership programs, and his many educational contributions at industry events, Tad has set a new standard for excellence in arboriculture.
At Treemasters, these same principles, safety, quality, and education, define our culture and guide every project, from precise pruning and removals to ongoing client education and professional development.
While awards like the TCIA Award of Merit are deeply meaningful, Tad and the Treemasters team remain focused on what matters most: delivering safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible tree care every day.
We continue to invest in our team’s training, uphold rigorous safety standards, and provide personalized solutions for every property we serve. This recognition reflects our belief that great tree care goes beyond maintenance; it’s about cultivating trust, community, and a shared respect for the environment.
